The Marker Baron EPF 13 is a light universal binding designed for freeride, which has high stiffness, so valued for demanding downhills. At the same time, after switching to Walk mode, it has all the advantages of modern ski mountaineering bindings.
The Baron EPF 13 binding is specially designed for skis with a width of 88 mm and wider. The base is a reinforced and extended basic frame - EPF. It is the increased stiffness and wider contact area (10 mm wider spacing of mounting points than before) that significantly help the better transfer of energy between the boot and the ski during descents in difficult terrain. State-of-the-art technology, together with the use of solid materials and massive studs, ensure perfectly balanced properties for both ascent and descent. For walking and climbing, it is possible to adjust the inclination of the shoe in three positions: 0°, 7° and 13°, the change can be easily made using sticks. When set for climbing, the center of gravity will be shifted 4 cm backwards, bringing the shoe into the optimal climbing position. The positions for both descent and walking are securely fixed by the BCT switch lever. Very functional details, such as rubber elements that prevent the snow from freezing under the shoe, are also pleasing. Of course, the binding has all the latest safety standards of the Marker brand.
